(The one on the left, to be clear)
DAY ONE
He had never been on a plane before, but somehow predicted this would happen. It's not so bad, he said. There won't be any threat on the airplane, he said. Don't smuggle firearms through security, he said.
He was now thankful that he ignored every piece of advice Fred gave him. He now had all of his weapons including a three-day supply of water and food. Three day's wasn't long enough, so he set up his camp in the middle of the forest, guarding the tallest tree for a vantage point. He was the first there so this should be cake, even if any others did survive. Good thing his dad made him do apocalypse training each year instead of celebrating Christmas and Thanksgiving.
DAY TWO
So far, I am still alone. I managed to find an oasis, where I had a feasible source of water. I built a small campfire nearby, where I could boil and purify it to drink. Things have been going smoothly, I even managed to kill a wild goat for a feast last night. Goat is always a great source of protein, and I'd pick that over my canned foods I had on me during the crash. I still had all my weapons, and a machine gun strapped to my back. Honestly, who needs shirts when you have a gun? Abs too, if I may add.
DAY THREE
Things seem to not be going too well here. Just yesterday my tree fell over, luckily everything else was intact. It appeared to be ripped from the trunk, most likely through deliberate force. I don't want to stay here, fearing that someone may be watching me. I had previously fought a corrupted demon from another dimension, so it was only natural for me to become paranoid by this. I grabbed my things and headed out, making sure no one else follows. I still kept all my purified water in a large, sealed container as I slowly trekked out to find a clearing. I still am not sure if anyone else is on the island, but I can save that for later. Right now I had a duty, and that was staying alive.
I stopped before a dark cave, I felt a rather unpleasant vibe from there so I kept on moving.
Later I found a palm tree, with coconuts on top. I did the most reasonable thing I could come up with at the time and smashed my fist into it with all my might. As the fruit fell I nonchalantly held out one hand and caught one of them right in my palm.
Then a monkey jumped down, ready to fight. I jumped back before it could land on me, and I drew out my giant sword.
"You wanna go, mate?"
The monkey then pulled out two small sharpened bamboo sticks, having a resemblance of daggers. He motioned to me to "bring it on".
In which I was more than happy to oblige. We broke into an intense period of combat, swords and daggers clinging against each other. This fellow is tough, better not let my guard down. He pushed me against a tree, then leaped yet again towards me, ready to strike. I held up my sword, and due to its length the monkey was impaled just before his puny barbaric weapon could even touch me. He bled out, and fell to the ground with a thud. The result was a small scratch on my pecs, but it just made me look cooler so I kept it there. What can I say? Scars just show all the huge battles you've come out victorious on.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 1- Putting the puzzle back together...
Welp, the demonic monkey got me. Greeeeeat. Now I'm stuck in some Aesteral planes BS and I lost half my stuff. Okay, you know the drill; find all four soul fragments and return to where I last slept. As I trekked the seemingly endless purgatory, I began to hum a song to myself to support my sanity.
The city, it runs cold today Sunshine, it is shining grey And I wish I could dig straight down Block it all away But in the dark, there's still a sound And nothing's changed
I saw a slight shimmering in the distance, I headed its way with haste.
Don't know if I have ever heard you sing But I hear it Don't know if I have ever held your hand But I seek it Don't know if I have ever loved But I feel it... (song)
Jackpot, the first fragment!
Put the puzzle back together, see what I'm dreaming...
Observing the proximity warily, I quickly snatched the glowing wisp.
When I find the pieces.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 2-Revenge is fulfilled
[3RD PERSON VERSION] He arrived at the next fragment, but his venture was interrupted by the killer zombie monkey, still puppeteered by the DemonLord.
The monkey grinned menacingly. “Not only are you gonna be in the afterlife, but I’m going to kill you here so you can go to hell, weheheehehe! I will have eliminated you once and for all- Caaaack!” A familiar feeling of metal blade in his chest is revisited, the monkey was now dead for good.
Wess pulled out his sword, then proceeded to dice his body to ensure his demise. At this point it was just becoming an outlet for all his suppressed rage. Finally the monkey was just a pile of bloody paste, but that still didn’t satisfy him. Wess dropped down his pants and took a dump larger and messier ten fold to that of the monkey, right over his gooey remains. “Welcome to hell, mother.”
He snatched the glowing soul fragment, and spat once more on the monkey guts. On the way out he tossed some dynamite behind him to blow the monkey to smithereens.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 3- “The Holy Fail”
Man, that felt good. Nothing more cathartic than making a possessed creature smoothie and defecating on their remains, such sweet relief indeed! Now that the little face is dead I can move on with my slow rebirth. It was quite a long and tedious process, granted I’m trekking a blank, empty plane of nothingness. All I have to rely on is a tingly feeling in my body I feel whenever I’m close to one. It’s only fair since life ain’t free, so the system intentionally makes it a pain in the tookus to rebirth. Also each death results in me having one less soul, and when I’m out of soul I’m dead for good and yadda yadda.
Alright, I found a third one behind a bunny. I feel a rather suspicious vibe from it, so I approach carefully. It locked its big, beady eyes onto me, tilting its head slightly as it nibbled on a stalk of celery.
Upon reaching a certain perimeter, the bunny rapidly mutated. Its head stayed the same but its body grows gigantic while becoming more defined and muscular. The beast was now a giant anthropomorphic Hulk with a tiny rabbit head. This was gonna be interesting…
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 4-“Unsettling Predicaments”
Later that day I had plenty of rabbit meat to satiate my hunger again. I need to keep in mind that I can still die of starvation and dying here would mean permanent death, stuck in the underworld for an eternity. A rather worrisome thought, however I already have three of four soul pieces so this should all be over soon.
Something didn’t feel right in my gut. Literally, something feels queasy inside. Can raw mutant meat give you food poisoning in here? Whelp, guess I’m gonna find out.
[Thirty afterlife minutes later…]
Okay, that was unpleasant. Now my innards burn, suppose I should lie down for a bit to regain some lost strength here. Just a while of suffering away from returning to life, it will all be worth it in the end. Geez, that rabbit definitely got his vengeance.
Though this got me thinking about some things, it seems like there were still plenty of others on the island. I have a compass at home, and there’s a transporting beam in the old lab. I could gear up and travel back to the island. It only has one use though, and once I teleport I can’t go back. No worries, I have a boat. I could use the compass to return to civilization and drop off the survivors to live their lives back in society with jobs and everything. It’s a long shot, but definitely a risk I would be willing to take.
Oh dear, everything hurts.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 5- "The last place you'd look..."
Now that my immune system has made a full recovery, I continued on my way. At first I thought the rabbit came back for a second round, but it turns out the feeling inside was definitely from a soul fragment.
A giant, ominous castle appeared in the distance. The pathway was made of brimstone, dark sulfur clouds smothered the bright white sky. The walls were made of obsidian, lava fountains placed at the entrance. None of this is settling in the slightest.
I read the sign above, then entered with caution. A skeleton fell over and broke into powder behind me, clearly brittle from being around so long.
There was a long hallway, small cracks all around the furnished floors. Statues of specific-looking people on pedestals against the walls. A whole variety, in fact. There were statues of people young and new with experience, a little girl with extremely frizzy hair, a shirtless man, an old lady, even myself. There were a couple statues with a slight crimson glow, including mine. What does this all mean?
I heard a low-pitched bleat, and stepped back as I felt the ground shake.
"That was a ba-a-a-a-ad move trespasser, now you must pay the price; YOUR SOUL."
Without looking around, I knew who it was. I gulped, before muttering under my breath.
“So we meet again, Bradley.”
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 6- "Out of the Magma..."
“I told you mortal; it is pronounced Bradicous!”
The hellish goat slammed his hooves onto the floor, suddenly the ground starts splitting open and the hallway began to slowly crumble, revealing a treacherous chasm with molten lava at the bottom. Forget mutant bunnies, this was gonna be the death of me.
I stepped back onto a safer platform, watching Brad’s every move. He charged up a fireball, and upon launching it I jumped out of the way onto a weak platform. As it collapsed I leapt to the other side of the hall. Whelp, looks like I found the final boss. He hovered by, ready to fire again. I jumped to another stable platform before he could blow be up. What do I do? How can I kill him? I don’t wanna die! Wait, die… that’s it! I need to move.
“What happened? I thought you were the best this land had to offer! Ha, were.”
Crap, crap, crap! Where was the- yes! There it is! I found my statue, stood before the goat, sheathed my sword, and held out my arms to signify “I surrender.”
“That’s it?! Pathetic…”
Bradicous charged up one last fireball, grinning maniacally.
“Say your final prayers, before an eternity of my sworn allegiance.”
He spewed his fireball at me, the force of six hundred and sixty-six megatons. At the last second, I slid out of the way, taking minor damage from the blow. My head was hanging over the ledge, and I quickly recuperated. I was right, the soul fragment was inside my statue! This is my move, I must retrieve it!
“Not so fast!”
The goat launched a fireball to destroy the platform, I was now free falling. The soul was right next to me, with only seconds to grab it.
The heat was literally on, my skin burning just from the radiant heat. I pried for the glowing soul, a bright red illumination enveloped me from the molten doom. I grasped desperately, teetering on the thin line of life and death.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 7-“A calming before a hurricane"
With merely a sliver of a second to spare, I grabbed the last soul fragment. Suddenly my surroundings were no longer scorching hot, now I felt myself falling through clouds. I was coming back to life! I turned over to watch the horizon from above, now back in a familiar province. I was finally home, and I could see my house from in the small village in the forgotten lands. Next to the village was a vast plane of green grass and beautiful forests. Then I found the springs where my father took me for training. It was nice, until I realized I was falling. My body started to accelerate while in the sky, until I felt myself slipping into dark space. From there I heard the dreaded voice of Bradicous.
“You have cheated me for the last time. Soon, this petty world will crumble beneath me once I harvest my subjects. For now, prepare for heartbreak.”
I suddenly awoke in a cold sweat, back in my old bed. It was the break of dawn, rays of bright sun poured through the windows.
Once I fully awoke, I jerked myself out of bed and bolted to the door. From there I rushed outside to the other villagers. They need to know what is about to come. This world is in grave danger and its fate rests in the hands of those who were still stranded on the island.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 8- "The Early Attack"
I finally found the cleric of my town, and yanked open the door. “Pope Clark! I-, oh… I see you are still meditating.”
Clark then turned over a mildly obscene painting, a loud zipping sound soon following. “Ah, yes! Meditation, I was doing just that. The thing where I sit down and meditate, the meditation ritual, that I was totally doing just right now.” He cleared his throat, voice sounding calmer afterwards. “What can I do for you, sonny?”
“I’m concerned for this place’s wellbeing, can you look into the future for me?”
“I most certainly can. Give me a moment.” He sat down in position again, then started humming and chanting in a language I vaguely understand.
If I am not mistaken, something along the lines of; “Oh mighty spirits, I ask for a pardon to shower me with your knowledge!” But how could I know? That sounds similar to; “Oh dear lord, forgive me for my sinning upon genitalia!”
I lost my train of thought when I saw an army of the mutant undead swarming towards us.
“Uhm, Clark?”
“One moment I’m receiving something.”
“Clark!”
“Ah, here it is! Yes, we are about to be attacked by the foresaken in about ten seconds.”
The stained windows smashed open, several mutant zombies climbed through and inched towards us. I grabbed the cleric and dashed outside to the town, now crawling with the undead. “Clark, c’mon! We have to save the others.”
I turned back to him, the poor guy now bleeding on the floor.
“Damn it…” He moaned. “Why do I have to die without my finished gratification?” The cleric’s life now fully drained. Wait a minute, dad! I need to find him, and fast.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 9- “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”
By the time I approached the town’s gravel pathway we were swarming with these creepy bastards; I could hear my father off in the smoke fighting for his life. I charged through, coughing from the unbreathable air. There he was, fighting off a- holy @#$%! He was locked in combat with a ten-foot beast, and it just smashed him into a wall with a mace. There was the portal he came from, closing up behind him. Time to make my move.
With all my might I decked the beast into the portal when he was least expecting it, half his body still jutting out from the portal. As it closed tight, the borders squeezed at the creature’s innards and eventually tore it in half. With the master gone, all the other zombies fell over dead and vanished into the wind.
My father groaned in agony once I approached him. “Wess, I’m dying…”
“What?! You can’t, we’re counting on you-!”
“No, you must venture on your own to stop this madness. Twenty years of training and already you’ve surpassed me, you make me proud. I have to tell you something important, something I regret not telling you long ago.”
“What is it, dad?”
“... You’re adopted.”
“Wait, who is my real father, then?!”
“Aughhhhh…” My “father” lay motionless, a single tear trickled down my cheek onto his lifeless body. I nodded boldly, and found a makeshift spot to give a proper burial.
“Don’t worry, I will fix this mess. I will protect this world from destruction, I’m not letting you die in vain. I’ll find the answers, I know it.” My confident tone faltered, deep down I had no idea how I could singlehandedly destroy a hell-bent demon of this magnitude. I've bitten off more than I can chew here, but time is limited; I needed to get to the lab, Brad can't finish his master plan and if all the island souls are claimed by him he could harness enough power to successfully demolish the world. Unfprtunately the lab is hundreds of miles from here, and hasn't been used in decades. From what I ca tell, those islanders may not last another moon so I have to get on it. Luckily my horse was intact, so I mounted onto him and rode off into the greenlands.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 10- “Broke on Time”
[Dawn of the second day, 48 hours remain...]
Night had fallen as I rode further, darkness smothered the vast plane. I remained alert, while rushing to my destination before things got too hectic.
I peered to my left to find a couple nightcrawlers prowling the landscape from afar. This prompted me to spur my horse, urging it to move faster. Before I knew it, I was airborne. It seemed Ivor rammed into something and tripped, and due to his swift speed I went flying. I finally made contact with the ground, I tumbled back and rushed to my feet.
The dark beast had spotted me, now locking eyes with mine. I unsheathed my sword, panting heavily as I observed its every move. Before I knew it, the beast charged. Just before it could hit me, I jumped to the side, noticing a glowing weak spot on its underbelly. It charged again, this time I held out my sword. It screeched and leapt up over me, giving an opportune shot.
With all my might I jabbed my blade into its sac, the nightcrawler screamed one last time and dissipated into nothing.
Now that another crisis was averted, I checked up on Ivor. He was fine, but had a minor sprain. I did what I could, but for now I’m just going to be a sitting duck for the night, best to stay awake tonight.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 11- "Hope Still Remains"
[Day Two Back to Life, 39 Hours Remain…]
Luckily, everything went smoothly after that predicament, but I just lost some time due to it. I rushed on Ivor a second time, he made a full recovery overnight but was reluctant to pursue on this expedition. All it took was a carrot or two to motivate him onwards.
It was another grueling two-and-a-half hours, but eventually I saw the lab in the distance. It’s been decades since it was ever used, no one knew if any of its machinery worked in there because they were too afraid to investigate. If I’m lucky, that teleporter should still work.
The front door creaked open, several bats rushed outside before slowly turning to ash. Well, that’s some lovely foreshadowing, ain’t it?
As I had expected, the place was old and run-down. The rooms were nearly pitch-black and electric sparks flew every which way. Something fell down in front of me, bursting into smoke then melting through the ground, creating a deep chasm before my feet.
Finally, I found the teleporting room. There was a massive screen with the map of the world to set in the coordinates, along with a coordinate tracker and the pod itself. I fiddled with the console, trying to find the island. Just one problem though, it could be anywhere in the world. I kept searching for a while, starting to find this whole plan to be hopeless. No, I have to try it, this is the only chance I have to thwart Brad’s plans before it’s too late. Unfortunately, it could take a while.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 12- "Major Setbacks"
[Day Two Back to Life, 32 Hours Remain…]
It was a long search, without any sleep again, but I think I finally found the island on the map. All that’s left is to hope the the teleporter still works. It was too dangerous to use it on myself, so I first tried to put in some regular matter to test it. I found a broken pipe on the ground, which should be good enough for this procedure.
Well, here goes nothing. I took a deep breath, and pressed the large red button. At first it seemed as though the teleporter was working, but soon it reached an error and the pod self-destructed. I guess it was a good thing I didn’t use it on myself first, but this was still a serious problem.
I was alarmed to hear a robotic voice announce,
Error. Technical malfunction in Sector 5-B. Chambers will self destruct in t minus thirty seconds.
Ah, $%^&@!# great! I need those coords, now. Fortunately I found a pen and paper; from there it was a mad dash to write down the numbers associated with them. I then grabbed the tracker and sprinted out to the exit.
Nine, eight, seven…
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 13- “The Beginning of the End”
Four, three…
I made a bee-line straight for the main entrance, no time for doors! I yanked out my sword and smashed open the door.
One, zero-
The lab burst into flames behind me, but I didn’t look back at it. They say you look cool if you don’t pay attention to an awesome explosion behind you. As the flames spread, I swiftly mounted onto Ivor. Once again I put my sword to use in order to cut the lead, and fled from the explosion. I now had what I needed, so I continued to the island.
[Day three back to life, 9 Hours Remain…]
Man, this island is far off the grid. I’ve been traveling for a couple days now, and so far no signs of the apocalypse have occurred yet. Wait, when did the sky get that reddish tint? Oh no, it’s about to happen! Better fasten my grip, I sense a bumpy ride up ahead.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 14- “Preparing for the worst”
[Day three back to life, 2-and-a-half Hours Remain…]
Knowing this will be nowhere in the ballpark of easy, I started to think things through. It seems that Brad wouldn’t want the survivors to leave, and I suspect he will perform his normal shtick as per usual with his apocalypse attempts. He would keep the needed souls, aka the entire island, in an unbreakable bubble, or maybe he already did. Either way I should probably find a way to execute my plan outside the area.
The sky began to redden, black clouds surrounding the surface. I need to move faster or this world is toast.
There echoed a transmission throughout, the dreaded voice of Bradicous filled my ears.
“Warriors of the damned, at the crack of sunset we will harvest all remaining souls from deceased islanders to unleash Bradmageddon. Wait, I thought you said it would only transmit to demons, what?... Oh, no biggie, hopefully no one in the premise heard that. Nothing happened, it’s just a small storm. Go home and stay in shelter for the.... ah, $@#% it.”
Well that was… bizarre, and also worrisome. Perhaps if I stay close and out of sight I could catch more info in order to defeat him.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 15- “Brad Returns”
When one world dies and another is born, Accept the demon with miniature horns
[26 Minutes Remain…]
This doesn’t look good for us, it may be too late. Although grim, it is my duty now to protect this world or die trying.
I held up my sword, observing it intently. It was a fine weapon wielded by the man who once defended this world thirty years before me. It was handed down to me, but I never got to know him. It seems to have some wear and tear from over the years, and when I pulled out from the sheath, to my sudden shock, the hilt snapped off. Well, I should probably put it back together before the final bout.
Wait, is that a piece of paper that fell out of it? No, it’s a letter! Intrigued, I read the title aloud.
“The real tale of the goat-slayer.”
If I’m gonna die, I should probably read this first. I carefully opened the envelope, it seemed surprisingly short. Good thing because now I can try to find a way to actually defeat Brad, this may be helpful...
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 16- “Epiphany with Family”
I read through it in my head,
‘In a time when all life was in great jeopardy, one bold, cunning young man rolled the dice, and planned to defeat the bringer of the apocalypse.
‘However, it was not all easy. He was faced against impeccable odds yet with determination he conspired to do all he could for me, and all of us. I’m so glad I married him.
‘Of course he knew he wouldn’t make it out alive, but he sacrificed himself for the greater good. Before rushing into battle he said one last farewell to us, gave me his old sword for me to enhance and promised that you could one day pursue his legacy. I don’t know if you will be ready. But if it means saving this world again, then it is his destiny.
‘If you find this, just know that I believe in you. We all do.
‘Yours, and no one else’s Mother’
Wait, it’s all coming back to me now. I’m remembering so vividly, the reddish sky, the screaming civilians, my mother carrying me only to be taken out by something, that bearded man in the silk robes who ran in the other way of the panicked civilians. Then, I blacked out. Everything else was in my current village, where I grew up with my adopted father.
Then it hit me, I knew now that I needed to defeat Brad and save the people, like my father did so long ago.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 17- "Bring on the Brad"
[9 minutes remain…]
After some careful investigating, I found Brad at the shore near the island. He reconstructed the islanders’ statues into a shrine with them all glowing red except for a shirtless man and a young lady. Their red spirit oozed from the stone figures and swirled into a cloud of dark aura. There he was, muttering to himself.
“Just a couple more pinches of soul and this recipe will be good to go, ahahahahaahahahahahaahah! Bradmageddon, here we come!”
This was all nuts! I tried to sneak out, but he spotted me.
“Hey, it’s you again! Ready for an encore?”
Brad used his telekinetic powers to levitate me in front of him.
“I could wait for the last two to kill each other off, buuuut I could just kill two mortals with one stone right here!”
He picked up the statue of the shirtless man and held it above me, ready to crush me with it. Well, perhaps there’s still a way to defeat him in the afterlife? I mean, I did almost manage to defeat him before then, so it’s a longshot but may just work. I just held out my arms again, ready to take it full force.
“What’s wrong, don’t have any tricks up your sleeves? Just gonna accept your fate right here, right now?”
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 18- "Cancelling Bradmaggedon"
[2:15 minutes remain…]
"C'mon mortal, do something. This is pathetic."
Without hesitation, Brad dropped the Hounsome statue onto Wess. Suddenly, the rock structure stopped millimeters from his body, only to be slung off and smashed into the ground. Brad was dumbfounded, but suddenly felt a blade sink through his chest before becoming disintegrated into nothingness. Right behind him was the dreaded monkey of the underworld.
"Weren't expecting me, eh?"
"Wait, did you finally betray your master and join good again?"
"What? No! I just wanted to kill him to take his place as the destroyer of worlds. All these years he has overshadowed me, but now I know what revenge will feel like once I finally drain the life of this dreaded world!"
With all his might he smashed the last statue into debris, then shouted "Boom!" as the escape helicopter exploded shortly after.
"No… you monster!"
The sky turned pitch black, the land cracked and split open with bright lava bursting out at the cracks. Volcanoes erected from the earth and exploded upon creation. In spite of all this, Wess still stood defiantly.
"This is for the islanders, Pope Clark, all the people of the world, but most importantly…" He muttered under his breath, "This one's for you, pops." "Alright you son of a bitch, ready for round two?"
"With pleasure."
The monkey unsheathed his sword again, sharp bamboo became flaming obsidian. He dove towards him, yet Wess blocked, causing a huge badass explosion that formed a crater in the ground. They continued to fight, blade against blade which resulted in bright flashes of light each impact.
[1:07]
The monkey continued to relentlessly swing at him, until Wess found the perfect shot and swung lower, causing the monkey to rebound several miles and hit the ground with a ground-shaking thud creating a massive chasm on the ground. He quickly recuperated, and burst back out with all his might.
[0:43]
Wess parried his next attacks, returning to defense.
"You've already done too much damage to this world, and your bowels. I won't let you destroy the world!"
"Well that's too bad, ain't it?"
[0:26]
"I won't let my father down!"
[0:19]
"Your 'father' was a deadbeat coward. He tried acting courageous at first, then immediately accepted his fate like a coward. Brad simply forgot to bring the correct supplies and retreated to formulate a new plan for the past thirty years."
[0:14]
"You're lying!"
[0:09]
"You fool, my species is biologically incapable of lying!"
[0:06]
Both Wess and the monkey found themselves flying back several miles from each other, creating two more large craters. The monkey blasted towards him one last time, while Wess stood on his feet with difficulty, his body was covered in bruises and rivers of blood rolled down and seeped into his clothes.
[0:04]
He held out his sword one last time, and boldly leapt towards the monkey once more.
[0:03]
"I will defeat you,"
[0:02]
"Even if it…"
[0:01]
"…kills me!"
[The end has arrived]
Wess gasped, noticing how time had stopped completely. His sword was in the monkey's chest, while the monkey's in his. Chunks of the Earth were about to be blasted away. The atmosphere was now outer space. But how on earth was he still breathing? How was he still here?
"I do believe I may have the answers to that, my child."
The game master stepped in, resting his gaze on the insignificant character before him.
"Yes, this was all a game to begin with. Something fictitious created by a classroom hungry for excitement in their writing, and lives were lost in the process. But understand this, every sacrifice starts a wonderful and fulfilled life. Every broken soul mends the distress in existence. Every death comes a birth of something new, blank slates of newopportunities. You, along with thirty-four others have left your impact, which will last for plenty time to come. In the end, isn't that all that really matters?"
Everything around Wess dissipated, then the being held out a glowing light.
"Fo your undying determination and efforts, I present you with the writing wish. Anything you so desire, can be granted without and restraints. You could bring world peace, be granted eternal life, even get to fully understand your father. However, the voice is up to you."
Wess pondered to himself,
"So I could actually get to know my father, finally reunite with the one I was deprived of my whole life?"
"Exactly"
He thought a little longer.
"I think I have made up my mind."
He carefully approached the massive wisp, and gently placed his hand on it.
"I wish that none of this ever happened. Have the plane enter its proper course and reach its destination safely, the passengers will not crash onto the island and slowly die off instead be reunited with their lives, their families. Just because I lost my chance to return to those whom I loved dearlydoesn't mean the others should too. Please, I ask of your mighty power to fulfill this one request."
The divine chuckled to himself.
"Excellent choice."
[Twenty-one days earlier…]
Unfortunately, Wess was still technically dead, now just a spirit following the flight of forty passengers. He could hear the flight attendant announce;
"We will be expecting a landing as scheduled in about a couple hours, please keep your seat belts fastened at all times"
There they were, once survivors fighting for their lives now reverted back to normal people. A little girl with frizzly hair fast asleep next to her mother, an old lady looking out the window to enjoy the view as they passed over an island, a man who still thought being shirtless was stylish nonetheless. Everyone was content, blissfully unaware of how lucky they are to be able to continue with their lives as planned. Well, all of them… except one.

Anything else: He's still in his late twenties, and typically uses swords, guns, sabers, and other various weapons in combat.

The city, it runs cold today
Sunshine, it is shining grey
And I wish I could dig straight down
Block it all away
But in the dark, there's still a sound
And nothing's changed
I saw a slight shimmering in the distance, I headed its way with haste.
Don't know if I have ever heard you sing
But I hear it
Don't know if I have ever held your hand
But I seek it
Don't know if I have ever loved
But I feel it...
(song)
Jackpot, the first fragment!
Put the puzzle back together, see what I'm dreaming...
Observing the proximity warily, I quickly snatched the glowing wisp.
When I find the pieces.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 2- Revenge is fulfilled
[3RD PERSON VERSION]
He arrived at the next fragment, but his venture was interrupted by the killer zombie monkey, still puppeteered by the DemonLord.
The monkey grinned menacingly.
“Not only are you gonna be in the afterlife, but I’m going to kill you here so you can go to hell, weheheehehe! I will have eliminated you once and for all- Caaaack!”
A familiar feeling of metal blade in his chest is revisited, the monkey was now dead for good.
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 4- “Unsettling Predicaments”
AFTER ELIMINATION PART 7- “A calming before a hurricane"
The thing where I sit down and meditate, the meditation ritual, that I was totally doing just right now.”
He cleared his throat, voice sounding calmer afterwards.
“What can I do for you, sonny?”
“I’m concerned for this place’s wellbeing, can you look into the future for me?”
“I most certainly can. Give me a moment.”
He sat down in position again, then started humming and chanting in a language I vaguely understand.
If I am not mistaken, something along the lines of;
“Oh mighty spirits, I ask for a pardon to shower me with your knowledge!”
But how could I know? That sounds similar to;
“Oh dear lord, forgive me for my sinning upon genitalia!”
“Aughhhhh…”
My “father” lay motionless, a single tear trickled down my cheek onto his lifeless body.
When one world dies and another is born,
Accept the demon with miniature horns
We all do.
‘Yours, and no one else’s
Mother’
"This is for the islanders, Pope Clark, all the people of the world, but most importantly…" He muttered under his breath, "This one's for you, pops."
"Alright you son of a bitch, ready for round two?"
Every death comes a birth of something new, blank slates of new opportunities.
Just because I lost my chance to return to those whom I loved dearly doesn't mean the others should too. Please, I ask of your mighty power to fulfill this one request."
The divine chuckled to himself.
"Excellent choice."
[Twenty-one days earlier…]
Unfortunately, Wess was still technically dead, now just a spirit following the flight of forty passengers. He could hear the flight attendant announce;
FIN
